How do we know if we are filled with the Holy Spirit?

Answered in 2 sources

Being filled with the Holy Spirit is evidenced by a deep conviction of sin, reliance on Christ, and a desire to obey God’s commands in Scripture.

The evidence of being filled with the Holy Spirit includes an ongoing awareness of one's sinfulness and continual reliance on Christ for salvation. The Holy Spirit convicts believers, guides them towards repentance, and instills a desire to live according to God's will as revealed in Scripture. True filling of the Spirit leads to worshiping God in truth and expressing love towards others, firmly rooted in the understanding of God's grace. If one's comfort and peace come from anywhere other than Christ, this indicates a different source than the Holy Spirit. Thus, consistent reliance on and exaltation of Christ in daily life serves as a marker of being filled with the Spirit.
