How do we know if we are filled with the Holy Spirit?

Answered in 1 source

Being filled with the Holy Spirit involves surrendering completely to Christ's rule and living out His will in our daily lives.

Ephesians 5:18 instructs believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit, which signifies submitting to the control and dominion of Christ through His Spirit. This filling is not an emotional experience but rather a continuous act of surrendering our lives to the Lord. It means allowing Christ to govern every aspect of our lives, reflecting a relationship built on trust and obedience. The evidence of being filled with the Spirit is seen in a believer's desire and ability to live in alignment with God's will, producing joy and gratitude in our hearts, as well as leading to proper conduct in our relationships.
