How do we know if we are genuinely in the faith?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are in the faith through evidence of transformation and reliance on Christ (2 Corinthians 13:5).

Understanding whether we are genuinely in the faith involves looking for specific fruits of the Spirit in our lives. In 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul prompts believers to assess their spiritual condition and observe the transformation that faith in Christ brings. Genuine faith produces a heart that is broken over sin, a hunger for Christ's righteousness, a recognition of total dependence on Him, and an acknowledgement of His lordship in every aspect of life. Therefore, when we see these characteristics, we can have assurance of our standing in the faith.
