How do we know if we are good ground hearers?

Answered in 3 sources

You are a good ground hearer if you receive the Word of God with an honest heart and produce spiritual fruit.

Being a good ground hearer, as discussed in Luke 8:15, involves having an honest and good heart. This means you acknowledge your sinfulness and recognize your need for grace. A genuine understanding of the gospel leads to holding onto the Word of God and not let it go. Moreover, a good ground hearer bears spiritual fruit, which manifests as love, joy, peace, and other characteristics of the Holy Spirit. Thus, if you see evidence of faith and obedience in your life as a result of the Word working in your heart, you can affirm that you are a good ground hearer.
