How do we know if we are part of the true church?

Answered in 2 sources

You know you are part of the true church if your faith rests solely on Christ and the gospel (1 Corinthians 1:22-24).

Membership in the true church is evidenced by a genuine faith in Christ alone for salvation. According to 1 Corinthians 1:22-24, 'For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.' If you are drawn to Christ as your only hope and believe in His redemptive work, you are part of the invisible church made up of God's elect. Faith is the evidence of things not seen, and genuine love for Christ and His gospel signifies your belonging to His body.
