How do we know if we are truly called by God?

Answered in 1 source

Evidences of God's call include belief in Christ, a resting in Him for salvation, and signs of spiritual fruit.

To ascertain whether one has been called by God, several evidences can be examined. These include a genuine belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, ceasing from one’s own works to trust in Him for salvation, and an acceptance of His covenant of grace. Additionally, if there is visible evidence of the fruit of the Spirit—such as love, joy, and peace—these too are signs of God’s calling. The presence of these fruits indicates that God has indeed granted life and faith to the individual, confirming their election.
