How do we know if we are truly converted?

Answered in 1 source

True conversion is evidenced by a changed life and a humble heart that seeks God.

One can know they are truly converted by examining the transformation in their life and the condition of their heart. A genuine conversion brings about a new nature where the individual actively seeks to follow God, repent of sin, and desires to be taught by the Holy Spirit. Moreover, as stated in the sermon, without the Holy Spirit’s work, there can be no true conversion. This work is characterized by a conviction of sin, a plea for God's mercy, and a humble recognition of one’s need for salvation–an understanding that in and of ourselves, we cannot achieve righteousness.
