How do we know if we are truly in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

We know we are in Christ by our lack of condemnation and by walking not after the flesh but after the Spirit (Romans 8:1-2).

Romans 8:1-2 provides clarity on the evidence of being in Christ, stating, 'There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.' This passage highlights that those who are truly in Christ experience freedom from the law of sin and death, which is the ultimate assurance of our salvation. A vital sign of being in Christ is that we no longer seek to satisfy the desires of our flesh, but we are guided by the Holy Spirit, leading us to live according to God’s will.
