How do we know if we are truly known by God?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are truly known by God because we have a vital union with Christ, relying on His grace and mercy for our salvation.

The assurance that we are known of God is ultimately founded in our relationship with Jesus Christ. Romans 8:29-30 affirms that those whom God foreknew, He predestined, called, justified, and glorified. This indicates a comprehensive knowledge that predates our existence and extends into eternity. Furthermore, in 2 Timothy 2:19, it is said, 'The Lord knoweth them that are His,' implying that true knowledge in God is relational and transformative. Our acknowledgment of our own sinfulness and our trust in Christ for salvation—in His righteousness and not our works—confirms that we are known of Him. This relationship gives us the confidence that God has chosen and accepted us in Christ, allowing us to approach Him as His beloved children.
