How do we know if we are truly worshiping God?

Answered in 1 source

We know we are truly worshiping God if we approach Him with a new heart created by His grace and in acknowledgment of our need for Christ.

To determine if we are truly worshiping God, we must examine the condition of our hearts. According to the sermon based on Isaiah 66, true worship springs from a heart that is poor, contrite, and reverent towards God's Word. This heart recognizes its neediness and helplessness, turning wholly to Christ for salvation and worship. If our worship is marked by self-reliance or pride in our endeavors, it is not acceptable to God. He desires worshipers who are aware of their own unworthiness and who lean solely on His mercy through Jesus Christ.
