How do we know if we have God in our lives?

Answered in 1 source

We can know we have God by examining the changes in our hearts and lives aligned with His will.

The presence of God in our lives is evidenced through transformation described in 2 Corinthians 5:17, which states that in Christ we become new creations. Genuine faith results in altered desires, affections, and pursuits—shifting focus from earthly things to heavenly matters. Additionally, the discernible impact of the Holy Spirit in our lives, guiding and empowering us to live according to God's will, is a profound assurance. Self-examination as urged in 2 Corinthians 13:5 is vital; those in whom Christ dwells will display the fruits of the Spirit and an earnest desire to grow in holiness.
