How do we know if we have heard God's voice?

Answered in 2 sources

We know we have heard God's voice when we recognize the completed work of Christ and experience the transformative grace in our hearts.

Determining whether we have truly heard God's voice hinges on several evidences of faith in our lives. Firstly, we acknowledge that the work of salvation is finished and does not require our efforts to complete it (John 19:30). We recognize a time when we were distant from God due to our sin, and how He has drawn us near (Ephesians 2:13). Moreover, a heart transformed by God will show an unwillingness to cling to a works-based gospel; we shake off any notion that we contribute to our salvation. True spiritual hearing leads to a consistent acknowledgment of our need for God's grace, a desire to know Him more, and a comfort in being His children without fear.
