How do we know if we have peace with God?

To discern whether we have peace with God, we must examine where we place our trust. The message of the gospel informs us that true peace comes from faith in Jesus Christ, not from our own deeds. If one finds assurance in their actions or lifestyle, they may not genuinely possess this peace. As Scripture teaches, perfection is required for acceptance by God, and since we cannot achieve that on our own, we must rely solely on the life and sacrifice of Christ. If our focus remains on Him rather than our shortcomings, we can be assured that we have peace with God.
