How do we know if we have received the love of the truth?

Answered in 1 source

One knows they have received the love of the truth by recognizing their own sinfulness and fully depending on Christ for righteousness.

To determine if one has received the love of the truth, one must evaluate their understanding of sin and righteousness. A true acknowledgment of sin, comparable to biblical examples such as Isaiah's recognition of his unworthiness (Isaiah 6:5) or Peter's confession of being a sinful man (Luke 5:8), reflects a heart that has received this love. Additionally, those who love the truth cling to Christ as their sole hope for righteousness, understanding that all merit before God comes from Him alone. It is a heartfelt love for Jesus and His sacrificial atonement that indicates the presence of the love of the truth.
