How do we know if we have truly been regenerated?

Answered in 1 source

True regeneration is evidenced by a transformed heart and mouth that speaks of God's glory.

The evidence of true regeneration is found in the transformed life of a believer, which includes a new heart and a new spirit that does not sin. The mouth of a believer reflects the abundance of their heart (Matthew 12:34), speaking pleasant words that glorify God. Believers view Christ as their all in all, which reflects the outcome of genuine regeneration. As seen in Matthew 7:21-23, mere verbal acknowledgment of Christ is insufficient; true regeneration bears fruit in one's life, characterized by humility, grace, and dependence on God rather than self.
