How do we know if we're elect according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

We can know if we are elect by observing the evidences of faith, understanding the gospel, and experiencing genuine transformation.

The Apostle Paul gives us several evidences to help us discern our election. First, the gospel must come to us not just in words but in power, leading us to believe it wholeheartedly. Secondly, we can identify God's faithful servants and resonate with their message, guarding against falsehood. Thirdly, we often experience an affliction of heart caused by our sin while simultaneously feeling joy in the Holy Spirit. Additionally, an elect individual becomes an example to others in faith and conduct, demonstrating a transformation that others notice. Lastly, a true believer has an earnest desire to share the truths of the gospel with others. These signs indicate the work of God in our lives and assure us of His electing grace.
