How do we know if we truly believe in Christ?

Answered in 2 sources

We can assess our belief in Christ by examining whether our faith is accompanied by a transformation and a personal relationship with Him.

To know if we truly believe in Christ, we must examine the nature of our faith alongside the evidence of our lives. 2 Corinthians 13:5 instructs believers to 'examine yourselves, whether you be in the faith.' This examination involves assessing if we have a genuine, heartfelt relationship with Christ that reveals itself through love for Him and others. Additionally, if one consistently continues in the faith and demonstrates a love for God and His truth, it becomes indicative of a true, vibrant faith. The evidence of true belief is much more than intellectual acceptance; it involves a change of heart, commitment to follow Christ, and engagement in His work.
