How do we know if we truly believe in Jesus?

Answered in 1 source

True belief in Jesus is evidenced by acknowledging Him as the Son of God and trusting in Him for salvation.

The passage from John 9 highlights that true belief is not merely a matter of experience but requires a personal revelation of who Christ is. The blind man, after receiving his sight, showed a willingness to seek out and understand who the Son of God is. Jesus, by asking him whether he believed, emphasizes that true belief is a personal commitment and acknowledgment of Christ’s identity. This reflects the biblical truth that eternal life is knowing the true God and Jesus Christ, whom He sent (John 17:3). Therefore, genuine faith will lead to an acknowledgment of Christ’s divine nature, a desire to know Him more, and a response to His revelation.
