How do we know if we truly belong to Christ?

We know we belong to Christ when we recognize our sinfulness and look to Him alone for salvation.

Belonging to Christ is marked by a deep awareness of our sinfulness and a recognition that we have nothing in ourselves to bring before God. This realization leads us to depend solely on Christ's finished work for our salvation. If God has opened our eyes to our true state, and we find our hope in Him alone, it is a strong indication that we belong to Him. Christ is our only hope and assurance.
