How do we know Isaac represents believers?

Answered in 1 source

Isaac illustrates believers by showing their inheritance as children of God, called to live in grace and faith.

Isaac serves as an important symbol of believers in several ways throughout the narrative of his life. In Genesis 25:5, we find that Abraham gave all he had to Isaac, which reflects how God’s elect are heirs of all spiritual blessings. As children of God, believers inherit divine privileges and the promise of eternal life, akin to how Isaac received the blessings of the Father. Just as Isaac was rooted in Canaan, we, too, reside in a state of grace, signifying our secure position in Christ, which is reaffirmed in Romans 8:17-21.
