How do we know Jesus came to recover the lost?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible explicitly states that Jesus came with the purpose of saving those who are lost and recovering all they have lost.

Scripture reveals that Jesus, known as the Son of David, accomplished the mission to recover His people from spiritual captivity. As stated in Isaiah 42, the Lord's servant shall not fail in His mission of redemption. The narrative includes the covenant purpose of God the Father sending His Son to recover His elect from the bondage of sin and death. Jesus's actions during His ministry confirm this purpose, demonstrating His willingness to bear the weight of our sins and His ultimate victory over the enemies of sin, death, and Satan through His cross and resurrection.
