How do we know Jesus came to save the lost?

Answered in 2 sources

We know through Scripture, particularly Luke 19:10, where Jesus explicitly states His mission to seek and save the lost.

The mission of Jesus as the Savior is clearly articulated in Scripture, especially in Luke 19:10 where He declares, 'The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.' This statement encapsulates the essence of His purpose on earth. Through His life, teachings, and ultimately His sacrifice, we see the fulfillment of this mission. Jesus understood our desperately lost condition and took on the role of our substitute. He was not lost Himself, yet He identified with our plight, demonstrating His authority to forgive sins and offer redemption. His actions throughout His ministry reveal an unwavering commitment to seeking out those who are lost, affirming the truth of His mission.
