How do we know Jesus Christ is the only head of the church?

In 1 Timothy 2:5, Scripture explicitly states that there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, affirming His unique position as the head of the church. This underscores that no other figure, such as a pope or religious leader, can assume this role or authority. Jesus Christ possesses complete sovereignty over the church, guiding, directing, and sustaining it according to His divine purpose. Any claim by others to share in His authority or mediatorial role is an affront to His lordship and glory.
