How do we know Jesus Christ is the remedy for sin?

Answered in 3 sources

Scripture asserts that Jesus Christ bore our sins and provided the sole means of redemption and reconciliation with God through His suffering and sacrifice.

The Bible presents Jesus Christ as the only remedy for sin, as expressed in Isaiah 53:5, which states, 'He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities.' This passage reflects the weight of our sin being placed upon Him, resulting in His suffering. In Romans 6:23, we see that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. This establishes Christ not only as the means of payment for our sin debt but also as the pathway to eternal life. The sufficiency of His atonement is affirmed throughout Scripture, indicating that His sacrificial death satisfied the demands of justice, allowing us to be reconciled to God. Therefore, Jesus is unequivocally the remedy for sin, bringing healing and restoration.
