How do we know Jesus Christ is the true high priest?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is recognized as the true high priest because He fulfills the requirements of the law and offers Himself as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins.

The Apostle Paul discusses in Hebrews that every high priest taken from among men is appointed to represent men in things pertaining to God. Jesus, being both fully human and fully divine, fulfills the divine requirements of holiness while sympathizing with our weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15). He is not just a type of priest, but the final High Priest who offers Himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins, thus removing the need for further sacrifices as seen in the Levitical system. His resurrection confirms His authority and capability to intercede eternally for those whom the Father has given Him (Hebrews 7:25).
