How do we know Jesus Christ is the true Prophet?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus Christ is confirmed as the true Prophet through His fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies and His divine authority.

Jesus is distinguished as the true Prophet in that He fulfills the prophecy established in Deuteronomy 18:15, where God promises to raise up a prophet like Moses. The New Testament acknowledges Christ’s role, as seen in Hebrews 1:1-2, which states that God has spoken through His Son in these last days. This messianic identification is crucial; Jesus’ teachings and works testify to His authority and His role as the ultimate revealer of God’s will, a role no one else can claim as definitively. Moreover, the consistent affirmation of Old Testament prophecies in the words of the apostles strengthens the conviction that Jesus is indeed the Prophet who embodies the covenant promises of God.
