How do we know Jesus Christ is worthy to execute God’s decrees?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is deemed worthy because He is the Lamb that was slain, fulfilling God's plan of salvation.

In the book of Revelation, John weeps because no one is found worthy to open the seals until the proclamation is made that the Lamb, Jesus Christ, is worthy. As a God-man mediator, He has the right to execute the decrees of salvation and judgment. This worthiness is rooted in His sacrificial death, which paid the penalty for sin, thus enabling Him to redeem His people (Revelation 5:9-10). The truth of His worthiness is a cornerstone of the Christian faith, underscoring His unique role in God's redemptive plan.
