How do we know Jesus Christ provides salvation from our enemies?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture assures that Jesus delivers us from both sin and death, our greatest enemies.

Jesus Christ provides salvation from our enemies, as He conquered sin and death through His death and resurrection. In Romans 6:23, we see that the wages of sin is death; however, Christ's work on the cross satisfies the penalty for sin. His resurrection signifies victory over death, and Revelation 1:18 confirms that He holds the keys of death and Hades. This certainty forms the foundation of Christian hope – that believers, though they will face many adversities and enemies in this world, can ultimately trust in Christ's finished work, which offers eternal life and salvation from all that opposes them. As Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 2:14, we are led in triumphant procession because of Christ, who has defeated our greatest foes.
