How do we know Jesus' death fulfilled the law?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' death is the fulfillment of the law, as He satisfied all its requirements and took upon Himself its penalties.

The death of Jesus Christ fulfilled the law in several critical ways. First, He lived a perfect, sinless life, thereby fulfilling all the mandates of the law on our behalf (Matthew 5:17). His atoning death was not just a mere sacrifice; it was the complete satisfaction of divine justice, as He bore the curses of the law that we deserved (Galatians 3:13). Moreover, through His death, He established a new covenant, replacing the old system where sacrifices were necessary to atone for sins. Instead, Christ, the Lamb of God, offered Himself once for all, thereby terminating the need for further sacrifices (Hebrews 9:26). This is the crux upon which we stand: Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes (Romans 10:4). His death is the means by which we are redeemed from the curse of the law and reconciled to God.
