How do we know Jesus' deity is true?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus' deity is affirmed by His own teachings and the consistent testimony of Scripture.

The truth of Jesus' deity is thoroughly supported throughout the Bible, both in the Old and New Testaments. For example, Colossians 2:9 states, 'For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.' This encapsulation of Christ's divine nature is attested to by His miraculous works, His authority to forgive sins (Mark 2:5-7), and direct claims such as in John 10:30, 'I and my Father are one.' If anyone denies this truth, they side against the core of Christian doctrine and misinterpret the nature of God as revealed in Scripture. Thus, the acknowledgment of Jesus as God is foundational to being a member of the faith.
