How do we know Jesus did not come to save certain sinners?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus did not come to save sinners who deny their sinfulness or rely on their own righteousness.

The sermon outlines that there are specific categories of sinners whom Christ did not come to save. Denying sinners, for instance, are those who claim they do not sin (1 John 1:8). Such individuals believe they do not need a Savior. Additionally, partial sinners think their good deeds can outweigh their bad and thus do not see their deep need for Christ. Self-righteous individuals, akin to the Pharisees in the New Testament, trust in their own moral standing instead of the saving grace of Jesus. Since Christ came to save those who acknowledge their need for mercy, those who are in denial or self-righteous cannot receive that salvation.
