How do we know Jesus fulfills God's promises?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus perfectly embodies the promises of God made in the Old Testament, especially as seen in Isaiah's prophecy.

Isaiah's prophecy in chapter 22 introduces Eliakim as a type of Christ, representing the ultimate servant who would be raised up by God. This promise is echoed in the New Testament where Jesus fulfills the roles of Prophet, Priest, and King, specifically fulfilling God’s covenant of grace. The assurance comes from His resurrection, demonstrating that God has indeed exalted Him to the highest place. As Christians, we recognize that in Him all of God’s promises find their 'yes' and 'amen', affirming that He is the hope for sinners and the embodiment of God’s faithfulness.
