How do we know Jesus has the power over life and death?

In Mark 5, when Jesus is confronted with the news that Jairus' daughter has died, He reassures Jairus by saying, 'Do not be afraid, only believe.' This underscores the conviction that Jesus has dominion over life and death. The resurrection of Jesus is the ultimate proof of His power over death. He declared, 'I am the resurrection and the life,' showing that through Him, those who believe will have eternal life.
