How do we know Jesus is able to save?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is able to save because He is God and has the power to keep what we commit to Him.

We know Jesus is able to save because His divine nature and sovereignty assure us of His capabilities. In 2 Timothy 1:12, Paul expresses confidence in Christ's ability to keep what has been committed to Him, demonstrating that salvation and security are found in His hands. Additionally, God sovereignly persuades us to believe in Him, showing us that nothing is too hard for the Lord (Job 42:2). This assurance allows believers to rest in the knowledge that their salvation is secured by Christ’s perfect righteousness, not their own works.
