How do we know Jesus is competent to save?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is competent to save because He came to reconcile us to God, making an end of sins and bringing everlasting righteousness.

Jesus Christ demonstrated His competency for the salvation of His people through the work He was sent to accomplish. According to Daniel 9:24, He came to make an end of sins, reconcile us to God, and bring in everlasting righteousness. As God incarnate, He embodies the fullness of the Godhead and has the authority and power to deal with sin effectively. Through His sacrifice, believers are justified and can have peace with God (Romans 5:1). His unique identity as both God and man ensures that He is fully equipped to perform the work of redemption, offering true reconciliation and righteousness accepted by God.
