How do we know Jesus is God incarnate?

Answered in 3 sources

We know Jesus is God incarnate because He is described in Scripture as the image of the invisible God and the creator of all things (Colossians 1:15-16).

Colossians 1:15-16 proclaims that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God and that by Him all things were created. This points to His divine nature, as only God can create the universe. Furthermore, the Father decreed that all fullness should dwell in Christ (Colossians 1:19), affirming His Godhood as well as His role in our salvation. As the incarnate God, He fully represents God to humanity and mediates between God and man, fulfilling the requirements of divine justice through His perfect life and sacrificial death.
