How do we know Jesus is greater than Abraham?

In John 8:58, Jesus declares, 'Before Abraham was, I am.' This statement identifies Him not only as existing before Abraham but also as the eternal God. Abraham rejoiced to see Jesus’ day, prophesying the coming of the Messiah, which implies that Jesus is indeed greater than Abraham.
