How do we know Jesus is greater than Job?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is greater than Job as He is the perfect Son of God who conquered sin and death, unlike Job who, despite his righteousness, was still a man.

The distinction between Job and Christ is significant in understanding the nature of their respective sufferings. Job was a righteous man, but he was ultimately a fallen being in need of God's grace. In contrast, Jesus, being fully divine and fully human, faced suffering with the purpose of redemption for God's elect. Unlike Job, who endured suffering without understanding the complete picture, Christ entered suffering knowing He would bear our sins and defeat death. Job's life serves to illustrate Christ's greater work, culminating in the resurrection, which was a conquest over sin and death.
