How do we know Jesus is King according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible declares that Jesus is King by showing God's sovereignty and authority given to Him over all creation.

In the sermon, it is emphasized that Jesus Christ is sovereign over everything, much like Joseph was given authority over all Egypt. The Bible teaches that God has placed all authority in the hands of His Son, Jesus. As stated by John Chapman, 'God is sovereign everywhere there’s a where.' This sovereignty is not only positional but functional; Christ exercises His dominion and grants life to whom He chooses. He commands us to come to Him for life, establishing His authority as King and Savior. The scriptural basis for His kingship can be found in passages that reveal His sovereign rule, such as Colossians 1:16-17.
