How do we know Jesus is King according to the Bible?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible proclaims Jesus as King, established by God's decree and recognized through His fulfillment of prophecy.

Jesus is acknowledged as King both by divine decree and by His actions on earth. In Romans 14:9, it states that Christ died and rose again to be Lord of both the dead and the living. Moreover, His entry into Jerusalem as described in Matthew 21 corresponds to the fulfillment of messianic prophecies, such as Zechariah 9:9, which speaks of a king coming in humility. This acknowledgment as King is underlined by the crowds calling Him 'Hosanna,' recognizing Him as the Son of David, the long-awaited Messiah.
