How do we know Jesus is our King and defender?

We can affirm Jesus as our King and defender through His life and work. He was King before His incarnation and is King eternally. His perfect and sinless life, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection confirm His role as our defender. He has faced our greatest enemies—sin and death—and defeated them through His blood. His victorious resurrection is a guarantee of our own hope and defense against death. For those who believe, Christ is the ultimate advocate before the Father, interceding for us even now at His right hand.
