How do we know Jesus is our mediator before God?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our mediator as the angel of the Lord who intercedes for us, shown in various Old Testament appearances.

In the sermon, the preacher emphasizes that the angel of the Lord represented Christ in the Old Testament, as seen in the encounter between Manoah and the angel. When Manoah perceives that he has seen God, he fears death (Judges 13:22). Yet, the visitor, who is indeed Jesus before His incarnation, assures them. This incident highlights that Jesus is our mediator who intercedes for us before God. He is our advocate, making His atoning sacrifice on our behalf, allowing us to approach God without fear. The fulfillment of this promise comes to fruition with Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the cross, evidenced in Romans 8:34, reminding us that He intercedes for us even now.
