How do we know Jesus is our mercy?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is our mercy as he fulfills God's promises and embodies divine mercy towards humanity.

Jesus Christ is not only the righteousness of God but also the mercy from God. In Luke 1:72, the prophecy declares that God will perform the mercy promised to His people through Christ. Throughout the Old Testament, expressions of longing for God's mercy point to the coming of Jesus as the ultimate manifestation of that mercy. When we speak of seeking God's mercy, we are essentially asking to behold Jesus Christ, who came to redeem and save us. Thus, trusting in God's mercy equates to trusting in Jesus Christ and His sacrificial work for our salvation.
