How do we know Jesus is our perfect substitute?

The doctrine of Christ as our perfect substitute is substantiated by His unique dual nature as both fully God and fully man. Only one who is sinless could bear the weight of our sin and provide a means of reconciliation. Furthermore, His sacrificial death and subsequent resurrection demonstrate His power over sin and death, thus confirming His role as our substitute.
