How do we know Jesus is our refuge according to scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture testifies that Jesus is our refuge through His fulfillment of prophecies and His redemptive work on the cross.

Isaiah 8 describes Jesus as a sanctuary, establishing Him as the refuge for sinners. In Hebrews 2:13, the author quotes Isaiah, expressing how Jesus presents His followers before God, emphasizing their safety in His presence. Furthermore, Jesus fulfills the requirements of God’s justice by atoning for sin, offering a deeper explanation of this sanctuary. Given His role as the Lamb who takes away the sin of the world, those who believe in Him can confidently find refuge from God's judgment because their sins have been paid for in full.
