How do we know Jesus is our Sabbath?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus fulfills the Sabbath by being our ultimate rest and offering salvation through His completed work on the cross.

In the New Testament, Christ is revealed as our true Sabbath. Paul emphasizes this in Colossians 2:16-17, stating that the Sabbath was a shadow of the things that were to come, with Christ being the body that fulfills these shadows. When He accomplished redemption on the cross, the old ceremonial laws and observances were set aside, confirming that our rest is through Him alone. Observing the Sabbath law as it was outlined in the Old Testament cannot apply to Christians, as Christ’s resurrection transformed the nature of our worship and our relationship to the law.
