How do we know Jesus is our stronghold?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is identified as our stronghold through Scripture, affirming His power to save and protect us from judgment.

The understanding of Christ as our stronghold is rooted deeply in Scripture. Isaiah 32:2 describes Him as a hiding place, a covert from the tempest, reinforcing the idea that He is the ultimate refuge for those who are weary and burdened. When Jesus said, 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest' (Matthew 11:28), He presented Himself as the safe haven for sinners. Furthermore, the Apostle Paul confirms this truth by stating that Christ saves to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him (Hebrews 7:25). Thus, we learn that our hope and safety in times of trouble rest solely in Jesus Christ, our stronghold.
