How do we know Jesus is sovereign over our actions?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible shows that God's sovereignty is absolute and that even the actions of individuals, like Judas, serve His ultimate purpose.

Throughout Scripture, we see that God orchestrates the events of history according to His divine will. The actions of Judas Iscariot, while wicked and motivated by greed, were used by God to fulfill His plan of redemption. God's sovereignty means that even human rebellion cannot thwart His purposes. In Acts 1:16-18, it is revealed that Judas's betrayal was foretold and played a part in the redemptive narrative of Christ's crucifixion. This affirms that God's control extends over all circumstances, including the actions of those who oppose Him, affirming that His will shall ultimately prevail.
