How do we know Jesus is the final prophet?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is identified as the final prophet because He is the ultimate revelation of God, fulfilling all the prophecies made by earlier prophets.

The book of Hebrews asserts that Jesus is the appointed heir of all things and the direct communication of God to humanity. Unlike previous prophets, who conveyed God's message in fragments, Jesus is described as the brightness of God's glory and the express image of His being (Hebrews 1:3). This places Him in a unique position of authority; He doesn't merely relay God's message but embodies it. Additionally, the scriptures indicate that everything pointed to Christ, making Him the culmination of God's redemptive plan, thus affirming His status as the final prophet.
