How do we know Jesus is the judge?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is designated as the judge by God the Father, as stated in John 5:22.

The New Testament clearly articulates Christ's role as the judge. John 5:22 affirms, 'For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.' This delegation of authority signifies not only Christ's divinity but also His integral role in God's plan of salvation and justice. Jesus executes judgment both presently, as He separates the faithful from the faithless, and at the final judgment, where He will hold all people accountable for their lives. His nature as a righteous judge ensures that divine justice prevails.
