How do we know Jesus is the Mighty Redeemer?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is known as the Mighty Redeemer because only He, without sin, could save His people from their sins (Matthew 1:21).

The uniqueness of Christ as the Mighty Redeemer is foundational to understanding the Gospel. In Matthew 1:21, we learn that Jesus came to save His people from their sins. This redemptive work is possible because He is without sin, having completely fulfilled the Law of God and atoned for the sins of His people. His capability to redeem rests on His holy nature and His divine authority as God. No one else, not even the greatest of prophets or angels, could accomplish what He did by bearing the weight of our sins and reconciling us to God through His sacrifice on the cross.
