How do we know Jesus is the true mediator between God and man?

According to 1 Timothy 2:5, there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. This unique role is rooted in His dual nature as both God and man. Only someone who is divine can bear the full weight of God's justice and provide an effective sacrifice for sin, while at the same time, being human allows Him to identify with our struggles and represent us before the Father.
